A 14 minutes musical journey through the history of Winnipeg.
During the last ice age, Glacial lake Agassiz was the largest lake in the world and covered large parts of Canada as well as the U.S. Numerous lakes have formed in this glacial lake basin, one of them Lake Winnipeg.
The beginning of this piece shows how the purity and coldness of this prehistoric glaciers slowly start to melt down, drop by drop, announcing the end of the ice age. Canada's vegetation starts to grow again and the first sunrays of a new era fall on the majestic Lake Winnipeg. Life thrives again,as first nation's people of Canada sing their sundance, horseride through the prairie and do their hunting. The end of the piece celebrates this wonderful shimmering Lake of Winnipeg and its native people.
