Biography

Sandro Bucciarelli (1989) was born in Niederkorn in Luxembourg and at a young age started to play the saxophone. He studied at the Conservatoire de Musique d'Esch-sur-Alzette, Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz, the Frankfurt Conservatory and the Musicube Academy Bonn. Sandro is a busy man who studied saxophone with Paul Origer, Andreas Steffens, Nadine Kauffmann and Achim Rinke-Bachmann, conducting and orchestration with Alain Crépin and composition and counterpoint with Tilo Medek, Roland Wiltgen and Rüdiger Blömer. 
He followed masterclasses with Jan van der Roost, Arno Bornkamp, Alain Crépin, Otto Schwarz and many more.

Sandro won several prizes as a saxophone player among which the 1st prize ‘with great distinction’ at Jugend musiziert, 1st prize ‘with great distinction’ at the concours international Födekam St.Vith and the gold medal "avec les félicitations du jury" and the Prix Sacem at the Concours luxembourgeois pour Jeunes Solistes. He was also laureate at the renowned Concours pour Jeunes Solistes Dinant twice (5th and 6th) and was awarded with the 'Citation of Excellence' in North Dakota (USA).
He is in high demand as a teacher, conductor and composer.
