Hedwig's Song for clarinet and piano
This piece for clarinet and piano is ordered by the Flemish clarinetplayer Hedwig Swimberghe and written on his own musical theme. Because I don't write anymore in a tonal language, I had to find a compromise due to his classical/romantic melody. He asked (as mostly) a short piece; first slow and then quick. Between these two chapters Hedwig wanted to sing a sentence about peace. The music is played several times in Russia, Italy, Spain and Belgium.
