Hans Van Daele studied cello with Edmond Baert and music writing and composition with Rafaël D'Haene. He teaches harmony and counterpoint at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and also works as a sound engineer.

He composed a wide variety of music – mainly from chamber music to symphonic works – which has been performed in many countries. Hans Van Daele has received various composition prizes, including from the ‘International Society for Contemporary Music’ and the ‘Académie royale de Belgique’.

Hans Van Daele studeerde cello bij Edmond Baert en schriftuur en compositie bij Rafaël D’Haene. Hij is docent harmonie en contrapunt aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel en werkt ook als muziekregisseur.

Hij componeerde een brede waaier muziek – hoofdzakelijk van kamermuziek tot symfonisch werk – die in vele landen werd uitgevoerd. Hans Van Daele ontving verschillende compositieprijzen o.a. van de ‘International Society for Contemporary Music’ en van de ‘Académie royale de Belgique’.
