TANGO OF HOPE, composition for piano plus solo instrument (saxophones, oboe, flute, violin, trombone, trumpet, bassoon).
TANGO OF HOPE was composed in 2020-2021 during the Covid19 crisis. The piece involves piano and one solo instrument. It is also possible to play it with two solo instruments with piano. Second solo instrument kan improvise backgrond notes under the melody. Piece is composed during days of lockdown and is light optimistic sounding. Tango feeling should be used during the whole performance of the piece. The composition represents hope for better times. Also hope for better times since the USA got a "normal" president. Tango of Hope can be performed without or with improvisation. If musicians decide to improvise: repeat the whole piece and improvise till section D, which is the final section. The chord pregression on letter C is identical with the chord progression on letter A.
