Most of the recorded (mainly German) lyrics can help you learn rhythms. This also indicates where to breathe. The second voices are traditionally set, but still predominantly in their own “language”. The aim is to promote the independence of the musicians and, in doing so, to encourage them to listen to each other. A few songs are included multiple times in different keys. Occasionally, symbolism is “hidden”. Discovering this can be fun and train musical understanding. Dynamic elaboration is part of the arrangement, even though I have not noted any suggestions.
