Wind Band / Concert Band
A sinfonietta is best described as a small symphony with a somewhat lighter design. That certainly fits this Sinfonietta No. 2 for wind orchestra very well. The work consists of three separate movements that share several thematic threads. The themes I used come from sketches I made when I first began seriously composing for wind orchestra in the 1980s.
