Which parameter is most fundamental to music? Would it be harmony, melody, or rhythm? Muilwijk believes it is cadance: the regular pulse that carries a piece, and most suitable for dancing. It is just a thought, but could it be possible that music only came to be as support for dancing? Contemporary music often is irregular, foregoing cadance, what may be music's most fundamental parameter. Muilwijk's Suite for solo guitar (published at Concustic Musikverlag) payed dividence to various dances and their typical characteristics. This new set of dances is for guitar duet.
