The Lone Tree Crater is the name for a pool between Wijtschate and Mesen (Belgium). In Wold War I was the crater formed by a huge detonation of dynamite. The Pool of Peace is an improtant landmark in the landscape of the Westhoek and is a memoration of all the soldiers killed around Ieper during 1914-18.
