Fort Galleon is a concert piece for Concert band with Percussion
Fort Galleon tells the story of the battle of the greatest fortress ever exist between Emperor Julius Engaltio and King Markus Wulfreon. The Pursuit of the scout, Word of encouragement and The attack. Inspired by the Planets from Gustav Holst, I try to make the audience feel that they are right in the middle of the great battle of the fortress. Long ago Emperor Julius Engaltio decided to attack the greatest fortress that exists in the provinces of Elaglaciar: Fort Galleon. The fortress is well hidden in the high mountains of Maragoth. No army has been able to destroy this fortress. With an army of more than thirty thousand men, Emperor Engaltio is gonna try to conquer the greatest fortress with every sort of battle strategy to take down this fortress.
The world premiere of this composition will be perfomed by the North Netherlands Youth orchestra on the 20th of May 2023 conducted by Erik Janssen.
