Masakazu Yamamoto is a Japanese composer, arranger, and music educator whose catalogue spans chamber music, vocal music, solo and piano works, wind ensemble, and contemporary classical music. His music has been recognized in several compositional fields in Japan, including vocal music, chamber music, and piano repertoire.

He has received first prize in the composition division of the Sogakudo Japanese Song Competition, recognition at the Tokyo International Chamber Music Composition Competition, and selection of his works as required repertoire for the PTNA Piano Competition. Alongside his creative work, he publishes analytical and educational materials on classical repertoire.
