Biography

Teresa Tedder is a pianist, conductor, and composer/arranger.   She has written over 100 works for vocal solo, choral, piano, and instrumental ensembles that range in style from contemporary to jazz to choral masterworks. Her work has been selected by soloists, conductors, churches, and ensembles across the country. She has been named a Commissioned Composer for the Kentucky Music Teachers Association.  She was a primary composer in 2019 at the Composer Symposium in Louisville, KY.   Her music was featured at the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Pastoral Musicians Annual Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, in both the 2020 and 2022 conventions.     Ms. Tedder, an assistant professor of music, formerly taught at St. Catharine College where she was Artist-in-Residence; she is an ASCAP artist.  She is the conductor of the Mid-Kentucky Chorus, a 60-voice choir that performs throughout Kentucky.  One of Ms. Tedder’s recent commissions, Garden of Peace, a theme song for the Bicentennial Celebration of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, was streamed live internationally in May,  2023.   Her latest commission, Let Us Come Alive, a choral composition based on the works of Thomas Merton for SATB, soli, strings, handbells, and piano premiered at Bellarmine University, Louisville, Ky, 
on April 7, 2024.
