Biography
Born in the Salvation Army, I grew up in a music making family. I came in touch with brass music on a young age. As a child I had piano lessons and later I picked up the euphonium, following in the footsteps of my mother and grandfather. I came to realise that I was not satisfied with only playing music and started to compose. I am still on that journey trying to become more experienced and trying new things. What I like most about composing is that one can use all my interests as material: stories, places, people, etc. And so my inspiration come from my many interests, such as photography, (paleo)biology, cultural anthropology, cosmology, literature and poetry, traveling and so on.
