Remy Alexander (*1991) likes to compose often and with a wide variety of influences. Aside from his composing for acoustic settings he has been getting more and more into the use of electronic means to broaden the colour spectrum and possibilities of an instrument. Remy has earned his bachelors degree in composition at the Utrecht Conservatory, and his masters in composition at Fontys and the royal conservatory of The Hague; having studied with Mayke Nas, Martijn Padding, Anthony Fiumara and Jacob TV.

He has participated in the YCM of Orkest de Ereprijs, and in 2018 has been awarded the Tera de Mare Oyens prize during the Gaudeamus week. His music has been performed at festivals such as November Music, the Huddersfield Contemporary music festival, Gaudeamus and Cross-linx.
Aside from his work as a composer Remy works in the educational field as a teacher and organiser of projects and workshops about composing and improvising.

Naast zijn werk voor akoestische composities, is hij zich steeds meer gaan verdiepen in het gebruik van elektronische middelen om het kleurenspectrum en de mogelijkheden van een instrument te verbreden. Remy behaalde zijn bachelor compositie aan het Conservatorium van Utrecht en zijn master compositie aan Fontys en het Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag; hij studeerde bij Mayke Nas, Martijn Padding, Anthony Fiumara en Jacob TV.

Hij nam deel aan de YCM van Orkest de Ereprijs en ontving in 2018 de Tera de Mare Oyensprijs tijdens de Gaudeamusweek. Zijn muziek is uitgevoerd op festivals zoals November Music, het Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Gaudeamus en Cross-linx.
Naast zijn werk als componist is Remy actief in het onderwijs als docent en organisator van projecten en workshops over componeren en improviseren.
