Welcome to my Sonolize-profile. I´m a composer from Germany. My musical journey started with playing the guitar, which later on turned into a deeper study of composition. After several years of making almost exclusively electronic pieces and videos in collaboration with different sound artists, I´ve started to compose more vocal, instrumental and orchestral music. 

My vocal music is always non liturgical/non religious. In my poetry settings my aim is to focus on the beauty and meaning of a certain text, that´s why there is no rhythmic complexity and the singers are required to sing with the highest purity and clarity, so that the text can be audible and understood at any moment. The other part of my vocal music consists of pieces without text, where the approach is more polyphonic and experimental, as I can operate with the voices without consideration of a text. A part of those pieces is with instrumental accompaniment, but most of the time a cappella works for different amount of voices.

In my works for string orchestra I want to explore beautiful harmonic and melodic expressions. My aim is to create music for strings that has emotional depth and harmonic richness. Therefore my orientation is always the classical/neo-classical repertoir for this formation.

My series of pieces for solo guitar (Arpsolos) I regard more as instrumental studies, rather than full-fledged compositions. The focus there is on arpeggiated melodies and those pieces can be considered as etudes.
