Esquisses sur le nom de Clara

This piece can be regarded as a sketch for a variation on the name of Clara (Schumann). The consecutive letters L and A are combined in the note La. The letter R is assigned to Re.
This results in the four-tone combination C-A-D-A (C-La-Re-A), which is introduced in the first two repetitions by adding the next note in each case and, from bar 13 onwards, continuously, with a few deviations. The durations of the notes in the first 45 bars should not be regarded as fixed, but as approximate values that can vary. At no point should a fixed 6/4 time signature be felt, but rather a floating rhythm. The chords can be arpeggiated from time to time, at your own discretion. The rest of the piece should also be played very freely and sensitive.
In the C and L sections you can increase the dynamics, but never play louder than mezzo-forte. The piece can be performed on any type of piano or with any keyboard/synthesizer sound that fits the mood of the piece and has a long release time.
