At the age of 4 started Leander with drum lessons, but it soon turned out that his passion was for the organ. At the age of 8 he got his first keyboard lessons, and 2 years later piano lessons with the renowned pianist / organist Jelena Bazova.
At the same age he sang in the Sacramentskoor Breda as a boy soprano and was allowed to sing with the Hodie by Williams conducted by Christopher Seaman, various Matthäus passions with Joop Schets, Geert van den Dungen and Toon de Graaf and Mahler's 3rd Symphony under Mariss Jansons with the Concertgebouworkest. He also sang in various project choirs.

Since 2015 he has been taking organ lessons, also from Jelena Bazova. In 2016 he also started studying the Academy for Music Education in Tilburg and is also taking the organ course with Ruud Huijbregts. Here he followed a masterclass on old French organ music with Jean-Baptiste Robin, as well as masterclasses in vocal leadership (modern choral conducting) with Merel Martens, Jesper Holm and Peter Karlsson. He also participated in the Kurt Thomas Course with Jos van Veldhoven and Fokko Oldenhuis as teachers.

In his minor he also specialized in conducting, and took lessons in this with Hardy Mertens, Louis Buskens, Mark Reijnen and Ruud Huijbregts. In this minor he focused on the re-performance of Dutch music between 1600 and 1800. He is also involved in this alongside his studies. He is also organist in Terheijden and conductor of the Cantorij in Lage Zwaluwe, Church Choir De Baai in Etten-Leur, Vocal Ensemble Da Capo in Tilburg and of the Summa Orchestra in Eindhoven.

Ook zong hij in verschillende projectkoren.

Sinds 2015 volgt hij orgellessen, ook bij Jelena Bazova. In 2016 is hij ook begonnen met het studeren aan de Academie voor muziekeducatie in Tilburg en volgt hij ook de orgelopleiding bij Ruud Huijbregts. Hier volgde hij een masterclass oude Franse orgelmuziek bij Jean-Baptiste Robin en masterclasses vocaal leiderschap (moderne koordirectie) bij Merel Martens, Jesper Holm en Peter Karlsson. Ook nam hij deel aan de Kurt Thomas Cursus met Jos van Veldhoven en Fokko Oldenhuis als docenten.

In zijn minor specialiseerde hij zich ook in het dirigeren, en volgde hierin lessen bij Hardy Mertens, Louis Buskens, Mark Reijnen en Ruud Huijbregts. In deze minor legde hij zich toe op de heruitvoering van Nederlandse muziek tussen 1600 en 1800. Naast zijn studie is hij hier ook bij betrokken. Daarnaast is hij organist in Terheijden en dirigent van de Cantorij in Lage Zwaluwe, Kerkkoor De Baai in Etten-Leur, Vocaal Ensemble Da Capo in Tilburg en van het Summa Orkest in Eindhoven.
