Shark Attack!

Shark Attack is an attention getter right from the downbeat as it stalks its prey through quick tempo and percussive motifs from all voices that culminate in the first surprise attack. The 4/4 and 3/4 alternating time signatures provide the intensity until there is a calmness in the water. Peaceful harmonies with brass and woodwind choirs make the attack seem like it is over but is it? This piece for intermediate band provides teaching moments through articulations and the opportunity for blending and balance for all sections. Keep up the intensity through relentless percussion and dynamic contrast to produce a concert thriller!
