Program Notes
work for solo piano
This is a 3 movement work for solo piano depicting, through the performance, 3 nostalgic memories from the distant past. Movement 1, "Waves", captures a serene and calm day at the ocean with loved ones, as the waves get bigger and bigger and overtake you. Movement 2, "Dance", is a memory of joyful and spontaneous dancing with a close friend. Movement 3, "Rain", depicts thrill, joy, and slight fear while running barefoot through a heavy rainstorm with another close friend. Together these 3 glimpses into memory are displayed for the listener to be taken back to thier own nostalgic memories of the past.
