Intrada For Brass Band
An opening piece for the brass band concert.
"Et virtute spiritus" is a Latin phrase that means "and by the power of the spirit". The word "virtute" refers to strength, courage, or virtue, and "spiritus" means spirit, breath, or soul. This phrase can be used to acknowledge the role of the spirit or inner strength in achieving a goal or overcoming a challenge. It can also be used as a motto or inspirational phrase to encourage someone to tap into their inner resources and persevere in the face of adversity.
The composition is based on the dance song ‘Es hett ein Biedermann ein Weib’ by Swiss composer Ludwig Senfl.
