This is a 3-movement piece, echoing various Klezmer forms, and includes Hannukah motifs.
This is a 3-movement piece, echoing various Klezmer forms: Hora is a regal dance form, usually in a 3-meter, and represented in the first movement. Nigun is a singable/hummable tune, as represented in the second movement. This movement also echos various Hanukkah themes. Freilakh is a fast dance, with a clear sense of syncopation. This piece was composed in 2017, and is dedicated to David Davidson and the Kitchener Musical Society Band (KMSB), who encouraged me to compose this piece.
