Trio Glorioso Opus 167C (also part 3 of the Easter-trio) is an exciting work for two violins and piano.

The Introduction to Trio Glorioso
I have composed a new beginning for the third part of the Trio Glorioso, because the transition from the sad slow part to the victory music of the finale is too abrupt, because: why should suddenly [like snow in the sun ...] all sadness have been disappeared?
There is no reason for that, I thought later, and that does not make sense either, if one considers this work as a symphonic whole, such as a Beethoven- or a Bruckner-symphony ....
So there must first be a Brucknerian struggle in which the light overcomes the darkness before the victory music of the third movement can celebrate its triumphs ....

The Introduction to Trio Glorioso thus begins with a shortened repetition of the 1st movement [Trio Appassionato] in the harsh, ruthless, fatal key of D minor, followed by a kind of battle music, in the style of the 9th symphony of Bruckner, [1st movement, 1st theme, climax], the in D minor down falling [fall] theme of fate in powerful octaves, very dramatic, and then the turn upwards, towards the light with the resurrection theme [2 rising seconds], and then ending in the ultimate resurrection key E major, and the E major-chord is also a nice transition to the original beginning of the Trio Glorioso with the fifth chord....
Without interruption, attaca, the Intermezzo now goes to the third part.
