In this piece “Turquoise" for piano, the high register is often juxtaposed with the low register immediately. On the one hand this highlights the wide sound range of the piano in its expansion. On the other hand this spectrum is employed as a tool of expression: a direct bright sparkling sound versus an obscure dark tone color. This refers to the color turquoise which presents itself ambiguously between bright blue and dark green.
