Biografie
Marco Beretta, musician, conductor and composer, after studying at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan and specialization with G. Gelmetti, Marc Andrae and Ludmil Descev, was selected very young in International Competitions (Besançon, France; “Franco Ferrara”, Rome Opera House; RAI). During his intense conducting activity he collaborated with artists prestigious like Bonaldo Giaiotti, Daniela Dessì, Antonio Salvadori, Bruna Baglioni, Ambrogio Maestri, Mirella Freni e many others. The major titles of the debuted in Europe and Asia international operatic and symphonic repertoire. He conducted the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra, the City Chamber Orchestra of Verona, the Parma Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Nuova Cameristica di Milano, the State Orchestra Hungarian from Debrecen, the Pro Arte Marche Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Teatro Regio of Parma, the Seoul Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Romanian State Orchestra of Bacau, Orchestra of the Philharmonic Academy of Bologna, the Orchester National d'Ile de France, etc. He conducted in the prestigious RAI Auditorium in Turin, al Municipal Theater of Piacenza, at the A. Ponchielli Theater in Cremona, at the Teatro Comunale di Modena, at Seoul Arts Center (South Korea), at Hanjeon Artspool Center, al Gran Teatro de Liceu in Barcelona, etc. He is Artistic and Musical Director of the 15Orchestra. Symphonic of Piacenza as well as artistic director and teacher of ADADS Accademia Milano, body accredited by the Emilia Region Romagna for higher musical education.
From 2017 to 2020 he was Artistic and Musical Director of opera season of the Verdi Theater of Busseto (Pr). From 20011 to 2018 he was artistic director of the event INCANTO D’OPERA for the Piacenza Theater Foundation. Since 2021 he has been Artistic Director of the Opera Season of “Delia Cajelli” Social Theater in Busto Arsizio (Varese) as well as artistic director of BA LIRICA INTERNATIONAL VOICE COMPETITION. He is a member of the jury of important international competitions. As a score teacher he collaborated with the Verdi Academy of M° Carlo Bergonzi and with artists of fame such as Flaviano Labò, Piero Campolonghi, Margherita Guglielmi, etc. He has held conducting master classes in Italy and Korea orchestra and interpretation of the operatic repertoire.
As a composer he published his works with UNIVERSAL EDITIONS and SCONFINARTE EDITIONS (Milan). In July 2021 he debuted his melologue “L’AMOR CHE MOVE IL SOLE E L’ALTRE STELLE” for narrator and piano on verses from the Divina Conmedia performed by the well-known actor Corrado Tedeschi. The work has toured in prestigious Literary festivals and theaters in various Italian cities. In June 2022 the world premiere of his took place REQUIEM COVID - 19 in Piacenza with widespread success public and critics. In July 2022 the Melologue debuted “SONO NATA IL 21 A PRIMAVERA” with the participation of the actress Debora Caprioglio as narrator.
In 2023 he composed the original music for the show “QUESTO MATRIMONIO NON S’HA DA FARE” which sees the protagonist the well-known actor Ettore Bassi.
In 2024 his MESSA PER SOLI, CORO E ORCHESTRA debuted in Piacenza, the STABAT MATER FOR MEZZOSOPRANO AND ENSEMBLE in Lodi and SEI COSE IMPOSSIBILI PRIMA DI COLAZIONE, fiaba musicale on text of Anna Bonacina and with the famous showgirl Justine Mattera as narrator, in a national tournée.
His NOTTURNO for violin and piano has been performed in 2020 at the INTERNATIONAL PEACE FILM FESTIVAL in Toronto (Canada). Other of his pieces, such as the VARIATIONS ON VENI CREATOR for flute and organ have been performed in important rassign what the INTERNATIONAL ORGANISTIC FESTIVAL of Finale Ligure. Some of his adaptations and arrangements have been performed in Ukraine, Germany, United States and other countries and used as soundtracks in important cinematographic achievements.
